Charlita Rae Whitehead is a self-taught abstract fiber artist based in Ocala, Florida. Her artistic journey started when she began exploring hand embroidery and punch needle techniques. Later, it was her growing interest in rug making and fiber art that led her to pick up a tufting gun.
Color, shapes, and varied textures are some of the elements I explore through my tufted pieces. I appreciate and enjoy exploring the tactile nature of fiber art.
