The year is 1983 and a baby girl has been born in Panama City, Florida. She was named Stephanie by her parents Malcolm & Karin Lane. From a young age her parents realized she had a strong connection to art and nature. Seeing this, her parents nurtured this connection and pushed her to stick with what she loved. Stephanie began to color, paint, and draw on anything she could. Her grandmother's lamp was no exception. From elementary school through High School art and nature were a constant in her world. Now as an adult with a daughter of her own.... those are still a constant. Stephanie is a self taught artist for over the past 30 years. Her art is a reflection of her love of nature and our connection to it.
StatementI would like my paintings to provoke the viewers to think and smile. I know that sounds like a pretty simple request but in a world that moves so fast and we barely have a minute to stop. I want my art to make people pause for a minute.
