Rosie Brown

Rosie Brown has been painting in different mediums her entire life. Having to emigrate to Miami from Cuba at an early age, she had to put her art interests on hold.  She graduated from Florida International University with a degree in business. Throughout her successful business career, her dreams and passion remained in the arts. After thirty years in the business world, she is now a full time artist. Rosie Brown is mainly self-taught, except for a few classes and workshops throughout the years. She is inspired and influenced by her tropical environment. She is as comfortable working in oils, as well as acrylics and watercolor. She is best known for her gorgeous seascapes, but you will also find other tropical inspirations, including vibrant abstracts. Her involvement in the art community is varied. She was involved with Grovehouse Artists Gallery, is a Miami Watercolor Society Signature member, a Florida Watercolor Society member.  She has also participated in community art in public places programs, such as Coconut Grove Peacock Tour and the South Miami Manatee Festival.  Her interests have now evolved to the home decor and design world with her artwork being licensed by various companies, such as DENY Designs.Rosie Brown's art looks as good on a wall, as on many functional art pieces. Her goal is to not limit art to a wall, but to allow people to surround themselves with her creations.https://www.facebook.com/RosieBrownCreations/https://www.instagram.com/rosiebrowncreations/?hl=enRosie Brown Creations

Statement

My work can be summarized as tropical and colorful. It is the result of my Cuban/Spanish heritage and having lived in Florida most of my life. Having always lived surrounded by the ocean, tropical fruits and the rythm of the Caribbean results in the vibrant colors.
