"Robert Bradford Martin's story" Robert Bradford Martin was born to Teresa June Cobb and James Bradford Martin at 10:19 on Monday the 13th day of September 1982,at east Pasco county medical center Dade city FL. His mother was born on 8/16/1957 in Charleston WV, his father was born on 6/3/1959 in Tampa FL .They got married on 9/22/1978 and divorced when Robert was 2yrs of age,Robert's dad was absent throughout his life which left a hole in his heart.His loving mother Teresa was a single mother raising her only son the best she could!Robert Bradford Martin's name originated from Dan Bradford Martin his dad's father born on 9/25/1926 in Valrico FL (aka) grandpa, and Robert Herald Cobb his mother's father born on 11/15/1932 in Clendenin WV (aka) pappaw. Both of these men were very influential in teaching Robert right from wrong and how to be a man later in life! Now let's talk about how Robert acquired his creativity! His pappaw was always whittling on something, making his grandchildren gifts made with love. He taught Robert how to wittle his first bow and arrow, carved with a very special case eagle bone pocket knife given to him by his grandpa Martin. On the painting side of the creativity Robert's great grandmother (aka) mammaw young from WV painted oil paintings one of which he still possess. Robert's mother Teresa also drew and painted oil paintings ,she absolutely loved watching Bob Ross on PBS !  His mother also painted houses for a living at one point in her life ,she taught him how to hold a paintbrush correctly and cut a straight steady line early in life,also she taught him to put hair conditioner on the brush bristles after cleaning to keep it soft and like new! Robert took all this information in when he is young and is now applying it to his life in creating his own form of art thanks to a very inspirational, special individual the universe brought into his life for a reason!! Hello my name is Robert Bradford Martin, but prefer to go by Brad Martin. I am a self taught woodworking artist that loves nature and the great outdoors! Creating with wood to me is like grabbing an old book off a library bookshelf that everybody else walked by because it had a dusty ragged cover,little did they know the true beauty that was inside! The same principle applies to wood it might look horrible on the exterior until it is opened up to release the inner beauty!!!!
