BILTMORE BEAUTY
While visiting the Biltmore Estate Gardens I saw this gorgeous rose and got my camera out and took its' picture and knew I was going to paint it. It had to be an oil so the rich colors of the rose would glow with natural beauty. Painting the rose was pure joy after I sketched it. One of my trademarks is painting on the sides of the gallery wrap canvas, so that the painting continues along the sides, so I added the continuation of leaves.
